Backend Intern

You will be joining Edzy, a company that is revolutionizing how students learn and prepare for exams by incorporating gamified, AI-powered experiences. As a Backend Developer Intern, your role will involve working on real products that have a direct impact on thousands of students. This in-office internship will take place at our Gurgaon office, where you will collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to gain valuable hands-on experience in backend development and learn about the construction of modern, scalable systems. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the construction and maintenance of backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. - Aid in the design and implementation of simple REST APIs for our web and mobile applications. - Utilize databases (SQL/NoSQL) for data fetching, storage, and management. - Work in conjunction with frontend developers to deliver fully functional features. - Troubleshoot issues, as well as contribute to performance enhancements. - Write clean, readable, and well-documented code. Qualifications Required: - Possess basic knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Familiarity with backend frameworks like Express.js is advantageous. - Understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. - Proficient in Git and the fundamentals of version control. - Display eagerness to acquire knowledge of new tools, frameworks, and best backend practices. - Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to function effectively in a team environment. Good to Have (Not Mandatory): - Exposure to AWS or other cloud services. - Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger/Postman. - Interest in DevOps or automation (CI/CD).
