Role & responsibilities: Providing knowledge, experience, and solutions for backend implementations and architectures with a passion and commitment to enhancing overall code quality and maintainability. Ability to work independently, be a fast learner, and be a problem solver. Designing and implementing backend applications, whether as new products or as part of an incremental re-work of current products. Designing and implementing API monitoring and comprehensive, granular observability to reduce time to recovery. Deliver reusable backend components. Embrace test-driven methodology. Ability to provide thorough API change impact analysis to ensure minimal service failure and breaking changes. Suggesting new technologies and evaluating their feasibility. Preferred candidate profile: Go and figure it out" type of mentality. Strong know how, solid and proven skills in Python and TypeScript. Demonstrate hands-on experience in building (serverless) backend services on Azure. Proficiency in containerization and orchestration of containers. Expertise in database design, with a focus on platforms such as PostgreSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB. Experience in test-driven methodology and setting up CI environments.
