Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. You will have the opportunity to work with a skilled team and contribute to Python Django applications. Your role will involve writing clean, efficient, and reusable code with a strong focus on memory usage and performance. It is essential to implement secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle to ensure compliance with security standards. You will be actively involved in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of software delivery. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define and deliver microservices aligned with business needs is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, contributing to the development of event-driven systems using Kafka and writing unit and integration tests will be part of your responsibilities. Troubleshooting production issues and enhancing system reliability and scalability will also be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications. - Contribute to Python Django applications. - Write clean, efficient, and reusable code with a focus on memory usage and performance. - Implement secure coding practices to ensure compliance with security standards. - Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous software improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver microservices. - Contribute to event-driven systems using Kafka. - Write and maintain unit and integration tests. - Package and deploy applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes. - Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability and scalability. - Participate actively in planning and project management for effective execution. Must-Have Skills: - Strong understanding of core Java concepts. - Good knowledge of Java memory management and performance tuning. - Understanding of Microservices architecture and event-driven systems. - Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience in writing unit test cases. - Experience with the Kafka ecosystem. Good-to-Have Skills: - Familiarity with Python and Django. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and monitoring/logging tools. - Understanding of distributed system concepts and cloud-native patterns. - Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs. - Experience with relational databases like Postgres. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
