Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable backend applications and microservices.
• The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Golang, Python, cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and backend performance engineering.
• This role is for a 1-year contract, with candidates required to be in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and microservices.
• Architect scalable, distributed, cloud-native systems with strong reliability.
• Write clean, optimized backend code and perform peer code reviews.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment workflows.
• Handle databases, caching systems, Kubernetes/Docker-based deployments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Improve service reliability, reduce latency, and enhance system performance.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in service design, architecture, or distributed backend systems.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Golang and Python (must have).
• Solid understanding of microservices, cloud-native system design, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational & NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker, modern development workflows, and backend best practices.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong production experience using Golang, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Prior experience in fast-paced startup environments.
