Backend Engineer (Scala, K8s & CI/CD)

As a skilled Backend Engineer with 48 years of experience in Scala development, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable microservices using Scala, Akka, and/or LAGOM frameworks. Your expertise in designing and implementing containerized applications with Docker and managing them using Kubernetes (K8s) will be crucial for this role. Additionally, you will handle real-time messaging systems with Apache Pulsar and integrate backend services with databases using the Slick Connector and PostgreSQL. Implementing advanced search and analytics using ElasticSearch will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will work on GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support deployment workflows, ensuring clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
