Backend Engineer -Node.js

As a Node.js Developer at Radiansys, you will be responsible for developing robust server-side applications, microservices, and event-driven architecture. This role requires a strong command of Node.js, proficiency with NestJS for structuring scalable applications, experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments, and expertise in Kafka for real-time data streaming. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and DevOps practices to ensure seamless cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and NestJS.
• Implement event-driven microservices using Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Design and deploy cloud-based applications in platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Use Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment of microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, cloud engineers, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration.
• Design RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that align with application needs and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for high performance and reliability.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 7 years of experience in back-end development using Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of NestJS framework for building structured, testable applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar message brokers for event streaming.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Kubernetes for managing and orchestrating microservices.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GraphQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of API gateway implementations and rate-limiting strategies.
• Familiarity with security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and secure API design.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Exposure to Serverless architectures and cloud-native design patterns.
