Role Overview

Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using

  Node.js

  (Express.js/NestJS).
• Build and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performing microservices.
  
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with Angular-based UIs.
  
• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
  
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (JWT/OAuth).
  
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, and observability in production.
  
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and documentation.
  

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with

  Node.js

  and

  Express.js/NestJS

  frameworks.
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and integrating with front-end applications.
  
• Strong knowledge of databases

  MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, and message queues.
  
• Familiarity with containerization tools (

  Docker

  ) and version control (

  Git

  ).
• Good understanding of security best practices and performance tuning.
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to

  Angular

  or other frontend frameworks for full-stack development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  
• Unit testing and integration testing experience (Jest, Mocha, Chai).
