Backend Developer - Master Data Management

Torry Harris is seeking a Backend Developer specializing in Master Data Management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that manage and optimize the organization’s master data. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient data flow across platforms. Your focus will be on implementing best practices for database design, performance tuning, and data governance.
Skills and Tools Required:

• Strong backend development experience (Java, Python), with distributed data processing experience (PySpark) and event streaming experience (Kafka/KafkaJS).

• Experience in NodeJS for backend or integration development.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and Event-driven TMF APIs.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Lambda, and Amazon CloudWatch, along with overall AWS ecosystem knowledge.

• Familiarity with message streaming platforms and real-time data processing.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitLab.

• Experience using performance testing tools such as BlazeMeter (preferred).

• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Collaborate with data architects and other stakeholders to define data models and data flow. - Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and integrity. - Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques. - Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's continuous improvement efforts. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management.
