Backend Developer (Java)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a self-driven Backend Developer who is passionate about building reliable backend services and CLI tools. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Java/Spring Boot, is comfortable in Agile and ad-hoc environments, and demonstrates a strong foundation in networking, operating systems, and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and enhance command-line tools to support internal operations, automation, or external integrations.
• Participate actively in Agile sprints and contribute to planning, estimation, and delivery of features.
• Take ownership of tasks, quick fixes, and rapid feature delivery when required.
• Write modular, testable, and efficient code following best practices. Debug and troubleshoot performance and functionality issues in backend and CLI components.
• Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and stable production deployments.

Technical Skills Required: Must-Have

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot CLI Development:
• Experience building CLI tools or scripts using Java, Bash, or Golang Networking:
• Strong grasp of HTTP/HTTPS protocols OS: Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux (especially Ubuntu/Rocky OS)
• Databases: Proficient with MySQL, SQLite, and PostgreSQL
• Good to Have: Languages: Golang (for backend or CLI tools)
• Frontend: Basic experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular Cloud:
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or similar platforms Core Competencies: Agile development and Scrum practices
• Ability to work in ad-hoc and fast-paced environments
• Individual contributor with strong ownership
• Team player with a collaborative approach.
