Backend Developer Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Backend Engineer to join our core technology team. You will be at the heart of our platform, contributing directly to the services that power our social gaming experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience with scalable systems, cloud technologies, and cutting-edge AI applications in a fast-paced, high-growth startup. You will work alongside senior engineers, learning and growing as you help us build the future of interactive entertainment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Write clean, ecient, and well-documented code, primarily in Node.js
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and implement new features for our gaming platform.
• Assist in maintaining and improving our backend services to ensure they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving bugs and production issues.
• Work with our CI/CD pipelines to deploy code seamlessly.
• Learn about and contribute to the integration of AI tools and automation to enhance our platform.
• Work closely with product, design, and other teams to understand requirements and bring new ideas to life.

Who You Are (Requirements):

• 0-2 years of experience in backend software development.
• A solid understanding of JavaScript and some hands-on experience with Node.js and its frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with databases, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Basic understanding of how RESTful APIs work.
• A strong desire to learn, a proactive attitude, and a passion for solving challenging problems.
• An enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.
• A keen interest in gaming, social platforms, and new technologies.

Brownie Points (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS).
• Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Personal projects or contributions to open-source software you can share.
• An interest in DevOps and infrastructure automation
