Backend Developer Intern

The Backend Developer Intern will assist in building, testing, and maintaining server-side applications under the guidance of senior developers. You will work closely with senior developers to write and maintain backend code using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn how to design, query, and optimize databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. You will be involved in creating RESTful or GraphQL APIs and integrating them with frontend applications. Identifying and fixing minor bugs, testing backend functionality, and learning basic security implementation techniques like JWT/OAuth for authentication and secure data handling will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will assist in performance optimization by improving database queries and server response times. Collaboration with frontend developers, designers, and DevOps teams is essential, along with maintaining clear documentation of code, APIs, and development processes. Preferred but not mandatory skills for this role include basic knowledge of backend programming languages, familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases, understanding of REST APIs & HTTP methods, and experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub. An eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies is highly valued. This is a Full-time, Permanent position with benefits including Provident Fund. The work location is in-person during day shifts.
