Garbhsakhi is an AI-powered maternal care co-pilot designed to assist doctors and expectant mothers throughout the pregnancy journey. We are building intelligent systems that combine healthcare, AI, and empathy , helping clinicians deliver more connected, efficient, and personalized maternal care. Our mission is to make women’s healthcare more accessible through technology that truly understands both patients and practitioners. Role Description This is a 2-month hybrid internship for candidates passionate about backend development and conversational AI . You’ll work directly with the founding team to design, build, and integrate backend APIs that power Garbhsakhi’s intelligent healthcare platform. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Python frameworks (FastAPI or Django) and have a keen interest in NLP, chatbot development, or AI integrations . Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend APIs using FastAPI or Django . Integrate AI or NLP components (chatbots, text processing, GPT-based tools, etc.) into existing systems. Handle data flow between backend, front-end, and databases. Implement clean, well-structured Python code and follow best practices for RESTful APIs. Collaborate with AI/ML and frontend teams to deploy end-to-end features. Test, debug, and optimize APIs for speed and scalability. Qualifications Strong foundation in Python programming . Familiarity with FastAPI / Django / Flask frameworks. Basic understanding of NLP, Chatbot workflows, or LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain). Experience building or experimenting with API integrations or automation scripts . Good problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn production-level backend design. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, or Data Science . Must reside in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, or Thane (Hybrid mode).
