Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain
ETL pipelines
using Azure Data Factory (preferably Fabric Data Factory) and SQL.
Write and optimize
complex SQL logic
to ensure performance and scalability across large datasets.
Ensure
data quality, monitoring, and observability
with restartability, idempotency, and debugging principles in mind.
Enhance ETL processes with
Python scripting
where applicable.
Collaborate with business unit partners to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
Document workflows, standards, and best practices; mentor junior team members.
Implement
version control
(GitHub) and
CI/CD practices
across SQL and ETL processes.
Work with Azure components such as
Blob Storage
and integrate with orchestration tools.
Apply troubleshooting and performance-tuning techniques to improve data pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on
SQL development
with focus on integration, optimization, and performance tuning.
Proven experience with
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
, with preference for
Fabric Data Factory
.
Exposure to ETL/orchestration tools such as
Matillion
(preferred but not mandatory).
Proficiency in
Python
for ETL enhancements and automation.
Understanding of
cloud platforms
, particularly Microsoft Azure services.
Familiarity with
version control (GitHub)
and CI/CD in data environments.
Excellent
communication and technical writing skills
to engage with stakeholders.
Having Advanced Azure certifications would be a plus.
