Azure Cloud Infrastructure Lead (Windows/Linux)

Azure Cloud Infrastructure Lead

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver infrastructure support across
Windows
,
RHEL
,
Storage
,
Virtualization
,
IaC
, and
Cloud platforms
.
Design and provision infrastructure services aligned with business needs.
Manage storage operations, including automated reporting, maintenance, failover tests, and upgrades.
Lead
patching
,
vulnerability remediation
, and ensure
security compliance
.
Handle incidents, problems, and change requests with a focus on service improvement.
Maintain lifecycle management for all infrastructure components and highlight risks for end-of-life systems.
Ensure effective
data center and cloud capacity management
.
Maintain monitoring and alerting across all infrastructure layers.
Provide clear technical documentation for configurations, processes, and services.

Core Delivery Responsibilities

Build strong working relationships across global and local teams.
Ensure all changes follow governance processes (PRR, CMDB updates, CAB reviews).
Optimize costs and manage third-party vendors for operational efficiency.
Participate in
on-call rotation
for after-hours support.
Support
disaster recovery drills and real events
.
Apply service management discipline and escalate issues promptly.

Technical Responsibilities

Provide deep technical support across

Use automation tools:
PowerShell

Azure CLI

ARM Templates

Terraform

Ansible
.
Manage
code repositories
and
CI/CD pipelines

Act as an escalation point for service desk, desktop, and application teams.
Ensure infrastructure adheres to global security policies.

Team & Organizational Responsibilities

Mentor Desktop and Dealing Room Support teams when required.
Participate in cross-skilling programs to reduce key-man risk.
Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational policies.
Support a positive team environment and maintain work-life balance.

Mandatory Skills

8+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong expertise in
Azure Cloud engineering
, including hybrid connectivity.
Hands-on experience with
Windows
and
Linux administration
.
Infrastructure automation using
PowerShell
,
Azure CLI
,
ARM Templates
,
Terraform
.
Ansible automation
experience.
Knowledge of
storage technologies
(e.g., NetApp).
SQL or PostgreSQL proficiency.
Networking fundamentals and virtualization experience.
IaC and CI/CD pipeline management.
Ability to document infrastructure and processes clearly.
