Network & Server Engineer

Role / Designation Network & Server Engineer.

Experience – 2+ Years.

Network & Server Engineer (AWS & Hybrid):

• Design and implement AWS networking architecture including

  VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect

  .
• Configure and manage

  AWS Transit Gateway, Network Load Balancers (NLBs), Application Load Balancers (ALBs)

  , and security groups.
• Optimize network performance and monitor traffic using AWS tools such as

  VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail

  .
• Implement and manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centres and AWS using

  Site-to-Site VPNs

  and

  Direct Connect

  .
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a cloud and hybrid environment.

Server & Infrastructure Management:

• Provision, configure, and maintain

  EC2 instances

  ,

  Auto Scaling groups

  ,

  EBS volumes

  ,

  AMIs

  , and related services.
• Implement and maintain

  cloud-based file systems (EFS), backup solutions (AWS Backup)

  , and disaster recovery strategies.
• Apply system patches, upgrades, and security hardening best practices.
• Automate server provisioning and configuration using

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  tools like

  CloudFormation or Terraform

  .

Security & Compliance:

• Design, configure, and maintain

  Cloudflare WAF policies

  and

  rulesets

  to defend against application-layer attacks (e.g., XSS, SQLi, RCE). Manage and tune

  Cloudflare managed rules

  ,

  OWASP Core Rule Sets

  , and

  custom WAF rules

  .
• Implement

  rate limiting

  ,

  bot mitigation

  ,

  IP reputation filters

  , and

  geo-blocking

  .
• Enforce security best practices across network and server infrastructure using

  IAM roles, policies, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)

  .
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2, HIPAA).

Monitoring & Support:

• Set up and manage logging and monitoring tools (e.g.,

  CloudWatch, AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager

  ).
• Create and maintain documentation for network and server architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Provide L2/L3 support for incidents and changes related to AWS infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with

  AWS networking services

  and

  Linux/Windows server administration

  .
• Deep understanding of

  TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs

  , and routing protocols.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g.,

  Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation

  ).
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
