What we are looking for: We are seeking a skilled AWS Platform Engineer to join our team and

revolutionize how our developers build and deploy applications. This mid-level position is for someone

passionate about enhancing developer experience (DevEx) and productivity by building a self-service,

reliable, and efficient internal cloud platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be at the

forefront of abstracting the complexities of AWS, empowering development squads to innovate faster

while ensuring security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness are built in.

This role embodies Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, focusing on the availability, performance,

and automation of the platform itself, defining and meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for its

services. You'll also champion FinOps principles by designing and implementing cost control mechanisms

and promoting cost awareness. As a key member, you will actively contribute to and leverage our

vibrant Cloud Platforms Center of Excellence (CoE), sharing knowledge, defining standards, and fostering

a community of best practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in AWS technologies, a

developer-centric mindset, and a drive to build robust, automated, and easy-to-use platform solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain self-service platform capabilities and underlying cloud infrastructure

solutions on AWS, focusing on developer ease-of-use and efficiency.

Develop and maintain secure, reusable, and maintainable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using

Terraform for platform components and services.

Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for both the platform

itself and to provide standardized, reusable deployment patterns for development teams.

Automate platform operations, deployment processes, and remediation tasks to improve efficiency,

reliability, and reduce toil.

Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS, including the deployment and

management of applications using Helm charts.

Configure and manage AWS networking components (e.g., VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway)

to support secure and scalable platform services.

Implement and manage policy-as-code (e.g., Open Policy Agent) to enforce security, compliance,

and cost guardrails across the platform.

Define, monitor, and report on Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for platform services, driving

improvements in reliability and performance.

Design platform components with cost-efficiency in mind, implementing mechanisms for cost

visibility and promoting FinOps best practices among users.

Troubleshoot and resolve platform and infrastructure-related issues, performing root cause analysis

and implementing preventative measures.

Collaborate closely with architecture, security, and development teams to understand their needs,

evangelize platform capabilities, and ensure seamless integration.

Actively participate in and contribute to the Cloud Platforms Center of Excellence (CoE), developing

standards, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others.

Develop and maintain clear documentation for platform services and best practices.

AI & ML Integration Experience integrating AI/ML models into software solutions using Azure AI

Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, or Azure OpenAI.

Gen AI tools: MS Copilot, Claude AI, Github Copilot

AI based code editors: Windsurf, Cursor

Preferred Skills:

Experience with platform front-end tools like Backstage, Cortex, or Port.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Amazon

CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, Datadog).

Knowledge of security best practices and implementing security controls in AWS environments.

Understanding of microservices architecture and how platforms can best support them.

Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Knowledge of policy-as-code frameworks (e.g., Open Policy Agent/OPA, Kyverno) beyond basic IaC.

Previous client-facing consulting experience (valuable for internal customer interactions).

Familiarity with Amazon API Gateway and operationalizing AI systems (such as Amazon SageMaker)

as platform services.

Deeper knowledge of FinOps principles and cost allocation within AWS.

Qualifications:

10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, with a focus on

building and supporting developer-centric platforms.

Strong hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform.

Proven expertise in Terraform for infrastructure and platform provisioning.

Proficiency in designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Experience with infrastructure, platform, and application deployment automation.

Working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and architecture, including core services, security,

and networking principles.

Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes and

Amazon EKS.

Experience managing Kubernetes applications and dependencies using Helm charts.

Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) for

automation, tooling, and platform development.

Understanding of SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, blameless post-mortems) and

experience applying them to platform operations.

Familiarity with implementing cost optimization strategies and controls within AWS environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences

and foster a collaborative environment.
