Role & responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to support the development and deployment of scalable, secure, and highly available systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar. Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK. Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes. Implement security best practices across all stages of development and deployment. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Optimize costs, improve performance, and ensure compliance in the cloud environment. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with at least 2 years focused on AWS. Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and others. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell). Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS). Proficient with version control systems like Git. Deep understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments. Familiarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications. Experience with observability tools such as ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk. Knowledge of serverless architecture and event-driven programming. Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001). Preferred candidate profile
