AVP, Manual Testing - Commodities Pricing Application

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced AVP to join our team, focusing on manual testing for our critical commodities pricing application. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform, which includes trade pricing, order management, trade booking, and market data management functionalities. This role will provide you with valuable exposure to the business aspects of these key functions. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and stability of the commodities pricing application. You will conduct comprehensive manual testing of new features and enhancements, meticulously documenting test results and reporting any discrepancies. Regression testing will also be a crucial part of your role to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with software releases. Collaboration with developers and business analysts is essential to understand requirements, reproduce issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects. Additionally, you will actively participate in feature JIRA review and testing processes, providing valuable feedback on functionality and usability. You will also review and provide input on runbooks to ensure accuracy and completeness. Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing, especially in the commodities trading domain, is expected. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience in manual software testing, with a strong emphasis on complex financial applications. - Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: - Good understanding of financial instruments in commodities markets. - Familiarity with UI automated testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium. - Experience with Javascript or Typescript would be a plus. - Knowledge of SQL and relational databases. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.,
