We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President in Financial Control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial control, accounting, and risk management, with 5-10 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibility

Manage the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and other accounting records.
Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, reporting these risks to senior colleagues.
Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Implement up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices.
Collaborate with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and examinations.

Job Requirements

Qualified Accountant (CA/CMA/ACCA) with a strong academic background from a reputable institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role or control environment based on finance automation skills.
Strong Excel skills and experience with financial software applications.
Good stakeholder engagement skills and understanding of key accounting principles under IFRS.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities.
Ability to lead complex tasks and set objectives, coaching employees to achieve those objectives.
Experience in managing risk and strengthening controls, demonstrating leadership behaviors such as listening, energizing, aligning, and developing others.
Understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of organizational sub-function goals.
Engaging in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Communicating complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-understand content.
Influencing or convincing stakeholders to achieve outcomes while demonstrating respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship.
