AV Solutions Design Specialist-

The AV Solutions Design Specialist shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Produce detailed AV system drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
• Create and update floor plans, riser diagrams, rack elevations, signal flow diagrams, and wiring schematics
• Interpret project specifications, scopes of work, and system designs from AV engineers
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawing sets align with engineering standards and installation requirements
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors as needed to integrate AV system plans into construction documents
• Maintain drawing and documentation standards in accordance with company guidelines, client expectations, industry best practices, and applicable codes and regulations
• Maintain and update drawing templates, blocks, and libraries for consistency and efficiency.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect field changes or redlines
• Assist in the preparation of submittal packages and as-built documentation.
• Organize and archive project files and drawing sets

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit, Visio, Stardraw or Bluebeam is a plus
• Understanding of AV components, signal flow, and structured cabling systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with AVIXA standards and terminology is a plus
