Job Description

Role Overview: As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust automation frameworks using Selenium for UI testing, REST Assured for API validation, and Karate for end-to-end test automation. Your role will involve ensuring high-quality software delivery across web and API layers by designing and maintaining automation frameworks, developing and executing test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing. - Develop and execute test scripts using Selenium, REST Assured, and Karate. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure coverage. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. - Analyse test results, report defects, and contribute to quality improvements. Qualifications Required: - Proficient in Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications. - Strong experience in API testing using REST Assured with Java. - Hands-on experience in writing and executing tests using Karate Framework. - Solid understanding of Java programming for scripting and framework development. - Experience with TestNG/JUnit for test execution and reporting. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar for automated pipelines. - Proficient in Git for source code management. - Exposure to reporting tools like Allure, Extent Reports, or similar for test reporting. - Basic SQL knowledge for database testing. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices for collaboration in sprint ceremonies.
