Job Description

Role Overview: As an Automation Test Engineer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of applications. You will be expected to have expertise in Selenium for UI automation and REST Assured for API testing. Your responsibilities will include proficiently automating web applications using Selenium WebDriver, conducting API testing using REST Assured with Java, scripting and framework development in Java, utilizing TestNG or JUnit for test execution and reporting, and managing dependencies and test lifecycle with Maven/Gradle. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and REST Assured. - Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test strategies and ensure coverage. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. - Analyse test results, log defects, and provide actionable feedback to improve product quality. - Utilize Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools for CI/CD integration. - Proficiently use Git for source code management and collaboration. - Utilize reporting tools such as Allure, Extent Reports, or similar for test result visualization. - Apply basic SQL knowledge for database testing and backend data validation. - Understand Agile/Scrum practices and actively participate in sprint ceremonies. Qualifications Required: - Strong expertise in Selenium for UI automation and REST Assured for API testing. - Proficiency in Java programming for scripting and framework development. - Experience with TestNG or JUnit for test execution and reporting. - Familiarity with Maven/Gradle for managing dependencies and test lifecycle. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. - Proficiency in Git for source code management. - Exposure to reporting tools such as Allure, Extent Reports, or similar. - Basic SQL knowledge for database testing. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and participation in sprint ceremonies.
