Automation Testing Engineer

You are a highly skilled and motivated Automation Testing Engineer with 7 to 11 years of experience in automation testing, particularly with Selenium, Java, API testing, UI testing, and database testing. Your background includes a solid foundation in software development, automated testing frameworks, and a profound understanding of QA processes. Your role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through comprehensive and effective test automation practices. Your must-have skills include: - 7 to 11 years of experience in automation testing, specifically with Selenium and Java. - Strong expertise in API testing, particularly REST and SOAP APIs using tools like RestSharp and REST-assured. - Proficiency in UI testing and database testing. - Solid experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver and Serenity BDD. - Expertise in database automation using Java/JavaScript and proficiency in SQL. - Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) background. - Experience in developing automation test frameworks from scratch. - Proficiency in version control systems like Git. - Ability to handle XML and JSON files. - Knowledge of CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins. - In-depth understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Preferred skills: - Familiarity with WinAppDriver. - Experience with Cucumber frameworks. - Proficiency in Python. - Experience in using Unix commands. - Relevant certifications in testing or automation technologies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science. - 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in automation testing. - Experience working in a fast-paced Agile development environment. - Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies as required by evolving product demands. Your roles and responsibilities will include: - Engaging in hands-on coding with a focus on Selenium WebDriver/Serenity BDD frameworks. - Designing and developing automation test frameworks from scratch. - Integrating automation systems with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins. - Conducting REST and SOAP API testing using RestSharp and REST-assured. - Mentoring and guiding team members in adopting automation testing techniques. - Leading and developing strategic automation plans for various projects. - Reviewing and assessing proposed automation solutions and recommending best practices. - Proposing, evaluating, and advocating for automation methodologies and their effectiveness. - Effectively presenting automation strategies and solutions to management. - Being open to learning and adopting new automation tools as required by evolving product needs.
