Automation Test QA Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing mobile and web applications to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in identifying defects, creating and executing test cases, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. This role requires a strong understanding of automation tools, particularly Selenium, and the ability to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.

Objectives of this Role:

• Conduct thorough testing of mobile and web applications to ensure they meet client quality standards.
• Identify defects and bugs, working closely with developers to resolve them efficiently.
• Create and execute detailed test cases and scripts based on user stories and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software meets user requirements and is delivered on time.
• Perform regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure software stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, automate, document, and execute test suites for various applications.
• Maintain and improve the automation pipeline and test environment.
• Configure and manage the Selenium Test Environment (STE) for efficient testing.
• Create, enhance, debug, and run test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy.
• Experience with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Provide solutions for object identity and error handling during the testing process.
• Manage changes in the software and execute regression tests to ensure continued functionality after code changes.
• Write detailed test reports and performance analyses, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in the complete software development life cycle for new products.
• Attend conferences and stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as an automation tester.

Technical Expertise:

• Solid coding skills with Python, including experience with libraries like Pytest and unit test.
• Proficiency in Selenium with Python for creating and managing automated test cases.
• Experience with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Familiarity with web and mobile development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React Native.
• Strong understanding of Agile/DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, AWS CodeCommit/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with databases and understanding serverless technologies (AWS Lambda and AWS Fargate) for scalability.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

• Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow test plans and scripts, and strong management skills.
• Good communication skills, sense of responsibility, and ability to resolve problems independently.
