Automation Test Engineer

You will be working at WFO Chennai, where all 5 days of the week are mandatory initially for a couple of months, after which it will be reduced to 4 days a week. This decision will be based on your commitment, deliverables, and resource availability. With over 3 years of experience, you should have a strong background in either Java Selenium or JavaScript and Cypress. It is essential to have good knowledge and exposure to the TestNG Framework. As an Automation Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for developing automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using JavaScript or TypeScript, Cypress, RestAssured, and other relevant tools. You will continuously optimize and enhance existing test frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and reusability across teams and projects. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with QA, development, and product teams to develop and maintain automated test cases that ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of applications. You will also create and maintain robust API testing frameworks using tools like RestAssured for automated validation of backend services. Integration into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines is crucial, where you will be implementing automation frameworks and integrating with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and QA, is essential to align automation efforts with project timelines. Providing detailed reports on test coverage, automation status, and defect tracking to key stakeholders is also part of your responsibilities. Nice-to-have skills include experience with Cloud-based testing platforms such as Azure or AWS, knowledge of BDD frameworks like SpecFlow, integration of performance testing into the automation pipeline, familiarity with database automation, and testing.
