Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver . Lead the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications and APIs. Perform end-to-end testing including functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to define testing strategies and ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Drive best practices in test automation and mentor junior QA engineers. Perform root cause analysis and provide detailed bug reports using tools like JIRA . Ensure traceability of tests to business requirements and maintain documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 6 years of experience in Java automation testing using Selenium WebDriver . Strong expertise in Java , OOPs concepts, and automation frameworks like TestNG or JUnit . Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber . Proficiency with version control tools like Git and build tools like Maven/Gradle . Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman , RestAssured , or similar tools. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience integrating tests into CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins , GitLab ). Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
