Job Summary We are looking for a Test Automation Architect with deep expertise in Python and Playwright to lead the design and implementation of scalable test automation solutions for our web applications. As the Automation Architect, you will drive the automation strategy, architect testing frameworks, and ensure robust quality gates are in place across CI/CD pipelines. Role and Responsibilities Design and build scalable automation frameworks using Python and Playwright . Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and testing strategies for UI and API automation. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Create custom tooling for test orchestration, test data management, reporting, and test environment setup. Troubleshoot flaky tests, performance bottlenecks, and build stabilization strategies. Mentor QA engineers and SDETs on automation architecture and Playwright usage. Own test architecture documentation and maintain technical quality standards. Required Skills and Qualifications 7+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on web-based applications. 2+ years hands-on experience with Playwright (Python) . Advanced Python programming skills including OOP, fixtures, async handling, etc. Strong understanding of test automation design patterns (POM, BDD, modular design). Experience with REST API testing using tools like requests, httpx, or Playwrights API testing. CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and running tests in cloud/grid environments. Proficient in version control using Git. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). Familiarity with containerization (Docker). Experience testing React, Angular, or Vue-based web applications. Exposure to BDD tools like Behave or Cucumber. Tools & Technologies Python, Playwright Git, GitHub/GitLab Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD VS Code, Pytest, Allure (or similar reporting tools)
