Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Process Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Life Sciences to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation engineering within regulated environments, supporting the design, implementation, commissioning, and validation of automation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support automation engineering activities for life sciences projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Develop and review Front End Engineering Design (FEED) deliverables for automation and control systems.

Design, configure, and implement Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Batch Control Systems (preferably DeltaV Batch).

Ensure alignment with ISA S88 Batch Control Standards and GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.

Oversee commissioning, start-up, and qualification of automation systems in coordination with project and site teams.

Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues during project execution and plant operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process, quality, validation, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.

5+ years of experience in process automation within the Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry.

Strong knowledge of Automation Engineering, GAMP standards, and S88 batch control principles.

Hands-on experience with DCS platforms (preferably DeltaV Batch).

Proven expertise in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and execution of automation projects.

Experience in system commissioning, qualification, and validation in GMP-regulated environments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or integration with higher-level systems.

Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and other regulatory frameworks.

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies in automation.
