Description
TEST CONSULTANT The QA & Test team plays a crucial role in ensuring software quality by automating test processes and improving efficiency. Automation Test Engineers design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, create and execute automated test scripts, and verify system functionality. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, integrate test automation into the development pipeline, and support the seamless deployment of business solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: Define and drive the test automation strategy, ensuring alignment with overall quality assurance goals and project objectives. Design, develop, and implement scalable test automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing. Lead a team of automation engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and best practices in test automation. Collaborate with Test Architects, Developers, and QA Leads to establish and refine automation solutions. Own the automation roadmap, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements. Develop and execute complex automated test cases across UI, API, and database layers using industry-standard tools. Evaluate, select, and integrate cutting-edge automation technologies, including AI-driven testing solutions. Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing, ensuring seamless deployment and test execution. Drive shift-left testing practices, embedding automation early in the development lifecycle. Monitor and maintain automation test suites, ensuring high reliability and maintainability. Develop robust reporting and analytics for test execution, providing visibility into test coverage and defect trends. Ensure alignment of automation scripts with business objectives, functional requirements, and non-functional needs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, introducing innovative automation methodologies and GenAI-powered testing solutions. Act as a key stakeholder in defect triage discussions, troubleshooting complex automation failures and system issues. Advocate for automation best practices, providing training sessions to upskill the QA team. Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in test automation, with proven expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks. Deep proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or Robot Framework. Strong hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Java for automation development. Expertise in API automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration using Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools. Strong understanding of cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized testing (Docker, Kubernetes). GenAI integration knowledge, leveraging AI-based test generation, self-healing scripts, and intelligent defect prediction. Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6. Ability to define risk-based testing strategies and optimize test coverage within Agile and DevOps environments. Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or Xray. Strong SQL skills for data validation, query execution, and test case development. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to drive automation adoption, influencing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
