Automation Architect

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop

  robust, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks

  using Selenium and other automation tools.
• Define and implement

  automation architecture, best practices, and coding standards

  across QA teams.
• Integrate automation frameworks with

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.) to enable continuous testing.
• Collaborate with

  developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams

  to identify automation opportunities and optimize test coverage.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of

  new automation tools, technologies, and methodologies

  .
• Develop and maintain

  test scripts

  for web and API testing using Java, Python, or C#.
• Conduct

  code reviews, mentorship, and technical training

  for test automation engineers.
• Analyze test results, identify defects early, and ensure quality metrics are met.
• Maintain documentation of frameworks, tools, and automation strategy.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 8+ years

  of experience in test automation, including

  3+ years in an architect or lead role

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Selenium WebDriver

  , TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Page Object Model (POM).
• Proficiency in

  Java, Python, or C#

  for automation scripting.
• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Familiarity with

  API automation

  (Postman, RestAssured, Karate) and performance testing tools.
• Good understanding of

  cloud-based testing

  (e.g., Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Solid grasp of

  SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
