AutoDesk Inventor- Clutch designer

Role & responsibilities

• 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation of clutch components using Autodesk Inventor.
• Design and develop components such as pressure plates, clutch discs, covers, and flywheels per project requirements.
• Perform design modifications and improvements based on test feedback, customer inputs, or manufacturing feasibility.
• Manage and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in coordination with the change management process.
• Prepare and release technical drawings with proper GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure DFM/A and cost-effectiveness.
• Support prototyping and validation phases, including design updates and issue resolution.
• Ensure BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy and product documentation consistency in PLM systems.
• Conduct design reviews and prepare presentation materials as required.
• Maintain effective technical communication and documentation throughout the design lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent.

• 4 to 5 years of experience

  in clutch or drivetrain component design.
• Proficient in

  Autodesk Inventor

  (essential), with hands-on experience in

  3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation

  .
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ISO/ASME drawing standards.
• Familiarity with

  ECN/ECR processes

  , drawing release workflows, and configuration control.

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

  tools and version control systems.
• Basic understanding of clutch operation principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal

  communication skills
