As a Senior Furniture Draughtsman at TIS Living, you will play a crucial role in creating custom, luxury furniture pieces by translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings ready for production. Your deep technical expertise and passion for precision will be essential for collaborating with interior designers and production teams to ensure design intent and technical feasibility. Your eye for detail and proficiency in SolidWorks will enable you to prepare detailed technical and shop drawings, 3D models, assembly details, and joinery drawings for manufacturing. Additionally, you will specify materials, hardware, and finishes, conduct on-site measurements, review prototype samples, and provide technical feedback to ensure quality and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: - Create detailed technical and shop drawings for custom, luxury furniture pieces. - Collaborate closely with interior designers and production teams to ensure design intent and technical feasibility. - Prepare 3D models, assembly details, and joinery drawings for manufacturing. - Specify materials, hardware, and finishes based on design and functionality. - Conduct on-site measurements and coordinate with vendors/workshops for execution accuracy. - Ensure alignment between design aesthetics and technical practicality. - Review prototype samples and provide technical feedback to ensure quality and craftsmanship. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 7 years of experience in furniture drafting and technical design. - Strong understanding of furniture joinery, materials, and fabrication processes. - Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and technical drawing software. - Ability to interpret and convert conceptual sketches into production-ready drawings. - Excellent spatial understanding, precision, and problem-solving ability. - Strong coordination and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
