We are searching for a detail-driven and technically proficient 2D Draftsman to become a part of our interior design team. As a 2D Draftsman, your main responsibility will be to create precise technical drawings and detailed layouts that transform design concepts into actionable plans. Your role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of projects and facilitating seamless coordination among design, production, and execution teams. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation for interior projects. You will need to interpret design concepts accurately and transform them into detailed working drawings such as floor plans, elevations, electrical layouts, plumbing layouts, and furniture layouts. Collaborating closely with 3D designers is essential to ensure that drawings align with project requirements. Maintaining consistency in drawing standards across all projects and revising drawings based on feedback in a timely manner are also part of your duties. Furthermore, managing an organized digital drawing library for internal reference will be expected. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience as a 2D Draftsman in the interior design industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, and a basic understanding of SketchUp or other 3D tools is advantageous. A strong knowledge of interior detailing, dimensioning, and documentation is required. Your ability to interpret sketches, site measurements, and convert them into accurate technical drawings will be crucial. Good communication and coordination skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are also essential qualities we are looking for in a candidate.
