JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for projects, working from specifications and calculations provided by engineers, architects, or designers. These drawings will serve as the foundation for construction, manufacturing, or installation of various components and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards. You must have a strong understanding of drafting principles, AutoCAD and Revit software, and design standards, with the ability to create both 2D and 3D representations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Create Detailed Drawings: Develop precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on design specifications using AutoCAD software. Produce technical schematics, blueprints, and layouts for various Product & projects. 2. Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. Participate in meetings to discuss design concepts and modifications. 3. Review and Revise Drawings: Regularly review and update drawings as needed, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. Make necessary revisions based on client or team feedback. 4. Ensure Compliance with Standards: Adhere to company and industry standards in all drawings, ensuring that they meet regulatory and quality guidelines. Maintain consistency and accuracy across all project documentation. 5. Maintain and Organize Drawing Files: Keep organized records of all drawings, including revisions, and ensure they are easily accessible to the team. Update drawing logs and document changes for future reference. 6. Assist in Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to design and construction, including bill of materials (BOM), specifications, and technical reports. Support the project team with any additional documentation needs. 7. Perform Site Visits (if required): Visit project sites to collect measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure that drawings accurately reflect on-site realities. Coordinate with on-site teams to gather data and verify project details. 8. Coordinate with External Stakeholders: Communicate with external vendors, contractors, and clients as necessary to clarify drawing requirements and resolve any issues. Provide technical support to other departments and external partners as needed. 9. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously update knowledge of AutoCAD software, drafting techniques, and industry trends to improve efficiency and quality of work. Attend training sessions and workshops as required to enhance skills. 10. Support in Quality Control: Review and ensure the accuracy of drawings before submission or implementation. Participate in quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in all design outputs. REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Skills: Technical Skills : AutoCAD Proficiency, 2D Drafting, 3D Modeling, Additional Software Skills (Revit, Sketchup Other CAD software, rendering tools), Technical Drawing Standards, Blueprint Reading, Drawing Specifications, Revisions Management. Industry Knowledge : Construction and Engineering, Construction Methods, Design Principles, Architectural Design. Soft Skills: Attention to Detail, Accuracy, Error Checking, Communication Skills, Collaboration, Documentation, Troubleshooting, Time Management, Adaptability. Additional Skills: Field Experience (Site Measurements, Field Coordination), Project Management, Presentation Skills (Visual communication). Qualification and Experience: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 6 - 8 years of proven experience into AutoCAD, Sketch up or 3Ds max. Strong understanding of drafting principles, engineering terminology, and construction processes. Excellent attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings. Ability to interpret and apply architectural and engineering specifications. Field Experience: Familiarity with on-site measurements and data collection is a plus.
