AutoCAD Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting: Use AutoCAD and other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) to create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, tools, and fixtures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and machinists to ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Programming Support: Translate CAD designs into manufacturing instructions, often using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to generate G-code and M-code for VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines.
• Documentation: Prepare supporting documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), material specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all drawings are accurate, comply with engineering standards, and assist in identifying and resolving design or production challenges.
• Revisions & Maintenance: Revise existing drawings based on feedback, design changes, and updates, maintaining an organized library of documentation and templates.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is often required.
• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modeling is essential. Experience with CAM software and other design platforms (like Mastercam, Delcam, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) is a significant advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques (especially VMC operations), cutting tools, and engineering drawings.
• Machine Control Systems: Familiarity with CNC control systems, particularly Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain, is a plus.
• Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, conceptual design visualization skills, mathematical aptitude, and effective communication with technical and non-technical staff.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
