Australian Accountant

You are a detail-oriented and experienced Australian Accountant sought to join our finance team. Your solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements will be valuable in managing core day-to-day bookkeeping functions, performing account reconciliations, and preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and promptly. Your key responsibilities will include performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with precision, managing bank reconciliations effectively, and ensuring the preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with ATO regulations. It will be essential for you to maintain accurate financial records, keep all ledgers up to date, support end-of-month and end-of-year financial closing processes, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure timely reporting. To excel in this role, you must have proven experience in Australian bookkeeping and BAS preparation, a strong knowledge of ATO compliance and Australian accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. Your ability to work independently, efficiently manage multiple tasks, and ideally possess a qualification such as CPA, CA, CMA, or a degree in Accounting/Finance will be highly valued.,
