Job Description

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ethical standards.

Provide expert advice and guidance on medication usage, side effects, dosage, and proper storage to patients and healthcare professionals.

Conduct health and wellness screenings, administer immunizations, and manage chronic disease medications.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy and improve clinical outcomes.

Maintain comprehensive patient medication records to ensure safety and accuracy.

Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.

Educate patients on health and wellness, fostering an understanding of preventative care practices.

Stay updated on new pharmaceutical research and developments to provide the best possible patient care.

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.

Valid pharmacist license as required by state regulations.

Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug administration, and healthcare systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
