Job Description

As an Audiologist, your role involves administering audiometric and speech/language tests to evaluate the extent of impairment in patients. You will interpret diagnostic data to identify and develop treatment plans for patient hearing problems. Additionally, you will use curettes and irrigators to clean patients" auditory canal prior to fitting and tuning cochlear plants. Providing hearing aids to patients and demonstrating the use of such devices is also a key responsibility. - Administer audiometric and speech/language tests - Interpret diagnostic data for treatment planning - Clean patients" auditory canal and fit/tune cochlear implants - Provide hearing aids and demonstrate their use to patients Your responsibilities will include counseling patients and their families to adopt lip reading and sign language as a means to effective communication. It is important for you to maintain an up-to-date record of patient information, treatment plans, and progress. Tracking the patient recovery process to determine the need for a change in treatment is essential. - Counsel patients and families on communication methods - Maintain accurate patient records and treatment progress - Track patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as needed You will conduct auditory evaluations by measuring noise levels to determine hearing suitability. Collaboration with physicians, ENT specialists, speech/language therapists, and pediatricians to rehabilitate patients adjusting to hearing implants is crucial. Conducting hearing protection and hearing loss screening programs, as well as planning and organizing rehabilitation programs to help patients adjust to the use of hearing aids, are part of your responsibilities. - Conduct auditory evaluations and noise level measurements - Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient rehabilitation - Organize hearing protection programs and rehabilitation activities Furthermore, you will be responsible for training and supervising the activities of trainee audiologists and audiologist assistants. Maintaining accurate inventory and determining the need for stock replacement is also part of your role. Reviewing audiology services to identify areas where improvement is required and educating and training other healthcare professionals on hearing and speech topics are additional responsibilities. - Train and supervise trainee audiologists and assistants - Manage inventory and stock replacement - Review audiology services for improvement and educate healthcare professionals Qualifications required for this role include: - Degree in Audiology or related field - Certification in Audiometry - Experience in administering audiometric and speech/language tests - Knowledge of hearing aid fitting and tuning processes - Strong communication and counseling skills - Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team - Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and inventories The company values your commitment to providing quality audiology services and offers a Full-time, Permanent position with work schedules including Day shift and Rotational shift.
