Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Hyderabad for an Astronomy Educator. The Astronomy Educator will be responsible for planning and conducting Astronomy education programs, delivering engaging lessons, managing portable planetariums and Astronomy labs, and creating DIY kits for students. The Educator will also be tasked with coordinating outreach programs to inspire and educate students and the general public about Astronomy and Space science. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Astronomy Educator to inspire young minds through interactive space science sessions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging learning experiences, conducting stargazing events, and supporting outreach programs that promote a deeper understanding of the universe. Roles and Responsibilities: ● Space Lab Sessions: Deliver dynamic Space Lab sessions in alignment with the company’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and curriculum pedagogy within partner schools. ● Collaboration with NASO Team: Assist the National Astronomy Science Olympiad (NASO) team in developing thought-provoking questions and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes. ● NASO Power-Up Sessions: Conduct NASO Power-Up sessions both online and offline, based on requests from the NASO team, to foster advanced space science knowledge. ● Stargazing & Observation Events: Organize and lead stargazing events, including lunar and solar observation activities, to provide hands-on astronomical experiences for students. ● Online Education Delivery: Facilitate engaging online astronomy sessions, following the company’s curriculum guidelines, to reach a broader audience beyond the classroom. ● Outreach Programs: Implement outreach initiatives such as lunar, solar, and planetary observation programs in schools, upon request, to promote community engagement and scientific curiosity. Key Skills & Qualifications: ● Strong background in astronomy, astrophysics, or space science ● Excellent communication and presentation skills ● Ability to engage and inspire students of different age groups ● Experience in conducting educational sessions, both online and in-person ● Familiarity with stargazing equipment and astronomical observation techniques Show more Show less
