Asstt. Production Manager PU Leather Footwear

You will be responsible for overseeing the PU moulding line operations within our leather footwear manufacturing unit. Your main duties will include planning, coordinating, and supervising the daily lasting, trimming, and PU moulding operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure that production targets are met as per schedule and quality standards. You will also need to monitor and adjust machine settings to achieve the desired product output and quality. To improve efficiency and reduce cycle times, you will need to implement best practices in PU machine operations. Conducting time and motion studies for continuous improvement in production processes will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will manage and train PU moulding machine operators and technicians, allocate manpower efficiently across shifts and lines, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed. Working closely with the Quality Control team, you will need to ensure product consistency and defect-free output. In case of defects, variances, or process deviations, you will be required to take corrective actions. Coordinating preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules of PU moulding machines, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining proper inventory of raw materials will also fall under your responsibilities. You should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Polymer Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in PU direct injection/moulding in a footwear or similar industry. Strong technical knowledge of PU machinery, familiarity with footwear moulding processes, last setting, and upper fitting, as well as hands-on experience with PU chemicals and mould maintenance are essential. Experience in leather footwear manufacturing is highly preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits including leave encashment, yearly bonus, and a day shift schedule.
