Asst. Manager - Design

As an Assistant Manager - Design for a Telecom Company located in Sector 50, Gurgaon, your primary responsibility will be to utilize your design knowledge in structural and sheet metal components. You should have hands-on experience with Solid Works or Solid Edge, CAD/CAM, and a strong understanding of engineering principles. Your specific responsibilities will include fostering a result-oriented culture within the team to ensure the delivery of customer value. You must demonstrate technical leadership in designing sheet metal components and structural products like monopoles, plastics/FRP, including knowledge of manufacturing processes. It will be your duty to manage the team, aligning them with the organization's purpose, vision, strategy, and deliverables for the current year. Effective communication skills are essential for engaging with both internal and external customers. You should be adept at converting customer requirements into conceptual designs and driving them towards commercialization. Moreover, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, acting as a 6 Sigma Sponsor, and identifying and developing employees for present and future roles. Ensuring that the team meets all product commitments in terms of time, quality, and cost will be crucial, achieved through goal-setting and metrics governance. Building and motivating a high-performing team, defining their career growth paths, and providing challenging opportunities will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you must hold a B.E./B.Tech. degree with at least 10 years of relevant engineering work experience, including leadership roles. Experience in system design, project management, BOM and design management is required. Key skills for this role include proficiency in Design, AutoCAD, Manager Design, CAD & CAM, Solid Works, Telecom Engineering, and Structural Design. This role offers a salary ranging from 7 Lac to 10 Lac per annum and requires a minimum of 9 to 15 years of experience in the industry.
