Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Genomics Research Associate Scientist to join our multidisciplinary research team. The ideal candidate will lead projects focused on transcriptomics, epigenetics, and pathway-based performance optimization. This role involves mapping genes and molecular pathways linked to cognitive function, endurance, recovery, nutrition, and stress regulation, with the goal of translating complex molecular data into actionable, personalized insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews in the fields of transcriptomics, epigenetics, and molecular performance science.
  • Map and analyze genes and pathways related to cognition, endurance, metabolic recovery, nutritional adaptation, and stress response.
  • Develop and validate customized gene panels and analytical frameworks for client-specific genomic assessments.
  • Interpret how environmental and epigenetic mechanisms modulate gene expression and biological outcomes.
  • Prepare data-driven reports, including Excel-based models, gene-pathway visualizations, and PowerPoint presentations summarizing key findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design evidence-based strategies enhancing resilience, efficiency, and overall well-being.
  • Stay current with emerging literature and advancements in genomics, nutrigenomics, and precision medicine.
  • Present research outcomes to both scientific and non-scientific audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related life sciences discipline.
  • Proven experience in gene mapping, pathway analysis, and panel design.
  • Working knowledge of transcriptomic and genomic data interpretation tools (e.g., KEGG, STRING, Reactome, or Enrichr).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, charting, dashboards) and PowerPoint (scientific storytelling).
  • Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to translate complex molecular data into actionable recommendations

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to create visually engaging and scientifically accurate presentations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, Cytoscape, or Illustrator) is an added advantage.
