As an Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding technical requirements for primary engineering of HVDC converter stations and ensuring the safety of end equipment and HVDC stations. How you'll make an impact: - Proficient in advanced CAD/CAM/CAE software to ensure timely and high-quality CAD activities. - Thorough understanding of design principles, guidelines, and standards in Electromechanical design of HVDC and HV/UHV AC substations. - Responsible for Substation Layout Design, Civil Inputs, Installation drawings, detail design, bills of materials, and estimated engineering hours. - Provide technical support for FAT, installation, and commissioning activities for HVDC projects. - Prepare project documentation, obtain customer approvals, and ensure adherence to safety standards. - Interact effectively with customers, contractors, and colleagues to deliver tasks on time, within budget, and with high quality. - Exposure to Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) system with NX and experience in HVDC projects are advantageous. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking ownership of actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Your background: - Bachelor's in electrical/mechanical engineering with 2 to 5 years of experience in designing primary layouts of Electrical UHV/EHV substation projects. - Proficiency in NX/Teamcenter or similar 3D tools. - Knowledge of Substation Engineering of UHV/EHV projects and PLM tools. - Experience working with advanced 3D CAD tools. - Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
