Job Description

You will be responsible for performing established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area. This product-focused position involves verifying and validating the functionality of Company products across a wide range of customer requirements, applications, and environments. Your role will include planning, tracking, and evaluating results from various analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance. As a central point of coordination and decision-making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing, you will play a critical role in obtaining input and negotiating with Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) stakeholders to define technical requirements. You will be responsible for delivering an optimized component-based analytical and experimental verification plan to the program or project team. Your decisions in the areas of verification and validation will have a direct impact on product performance, reliability, and durability. You will investigate and address potential component concerns or issues, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate actions, own problem resolution, and document results with guidance from more experienced team members. In this role, you will apply and support the improvement of processes such as technical requirements, DFMEA, Engineering Standard Work (ESW), DVP&R, test planning, and problem-solving. You will utilize tools such as Integrity and Microsoft Power BI to support processes and enable high-quality decision-making. As you gain experience in the role, you will own problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, or subsystems with technical complexity and ambiguity increasing. Your responsibilities will also involve providing independent execution of established work processes and systems, while developing technology or product knowledge. You will engage with the improvement of systems and processes and coordinate with technicians and resources to ensure deliverables. Additionally, you will contribute effectively toward team goals, exhibit influence within a workgroup, and continue to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role. The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-4 years of experience, preferably in Mechanical (Turbomachinery Industries).,
