Associate Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Establish end-to-end mechanical processes

  at supplier locations, including:

• Critical part machining

• Sheet metal fabrication

• Surface treatment processes

  (e.g., powder coating, anodizing, plating)

• Coordinate with internal design teams and external suppliers

  to develop, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes.
• Support team members in achieving departmental goals and completing assigned tasks.
  
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and ensure processes meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
  
• Ensure timely setup of

  tooling, fixtures, and jigs

  needed for development and production builds.
• Provide technical support during

  development and pilot build phases

  , ensuring manufacturability and process stability.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong

  process knowledge

  in:

• Machining

  (CNC, turning, milling, etc.)

• Welding

  (MIG/TIG)

• Sheet metal operations

  (laser cutting, bending, punching)
• Exposure to

  surface finishing techniques

  .

• Basic tooling knowledge

  (fixtures, jigs, dies) is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret

  engineering drawings

  , GD&T, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Problem-solving ability to address supplier-side process issues.
  
• Proficient in MS Office; exposure to SAP/ERP/PLM systems is a plus.
