Position Overview

The Associate Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the solar Ingot and wafer manufacturing production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves managing production teams, coordinating schedules, optimizing processes, and maintaining equipment to meet production goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

1. Supervise and manage the daily production activities to meet volume and quality targets.

2. Monitor workflow to ensure optimal utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.

3. Coordinate production schedules with other departments, such as procurement, quality, and maintenance.

4. Ensure compliance with production specifications, process parameters, and industry standards.

Team Leadership

1. Lead and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

2. Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.

3. Ensure proper communication across shifts and with other departments.

Process Optimization:

1. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for management review.

3. Work with R&D and engineering teams to introduce new technologies and production techniques.

Quality Assurance:

1. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards.

2. Analyze defects and work on root-cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive measures.

Safety and Compliance:

1. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

2. Ensure all team members are trained in health, safety, and emergency procedures.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

1. Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

2. Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them promptly to maintain productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably in solar Ingot and wafer manufacturing or a similar industry.
• 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of solar Ingot and wafer manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Proficient in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with production planning software and ERP systems.

Certifications:

• Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
• OSHA or similar safety certifications (preferred).

Other Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment with rotating shifts.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily works in a factory/plant setting with exposure to manufacturing equipment and processes.
