Job Description

As an Associate IT Desktop Support at NAVAERA Worldwide, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. Your responsibilities will include resolving hardware, software, and network issues to ensure efficient operation of computer systems and technology resources. Here is a breakdown of your role: Responsibilities: - **Technical Support:** Provide first-line support to end-users and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Experience with Active Directory, user account management, Group Policy, DNS, Static IP, etc. - **Hardware Maintenance & Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve hardware failures or malfunctions for desktops, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mouse, and other equipment. Coordinate repairs and replacements. - **System Setup & Configuration:** Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems (Windows/Linux) and application software like MS Office suite, Flock, etc. - **Asset Management:** Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software, track asset life cycles, and ensure proper documentation of allocations. - **Monitoring & Ticketing:** Familiarity with ticketing and monitoring system tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Nagios, etc. - **User Account Management:** Assist with user account setup and management, including Active Directory, password resets, and access control. - **System Updates & Patch Management:** Ensure systems are updated with the latest software patches and security updates. Perform routine checks for updates on end-user systems. - **Networking & Connectivity:** Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, internet), assist with VPN and remote access setups. - **New User Setup:** Install required applications and programs for new joiners with clear guidance. - **Training and Guidance:** Assist users with basic IT training, software usage, and best practices. Required Skills: - 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role. - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), troubleshooting software applications, hardware troubleshooting, and networking concepts. - Experience with asset management, user account management, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication with good analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Graduate with B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+ or related Microsoft Certificate (optional). - Experience working for an MNC is a plus.
