Associate III - VLSI ML

Role Overview: You should have the ability to execute any small to mid-size customer project in VLSI Frontend, Backend, or Analog design with minimal supervision. Your role involves working as an individual contributor on tasks such as RTL Design/Module and providing support to junior engineers in various areas like Verification, PD, DFT, Circuit Design, Analog Layout, STA, Synthesis, Design Checks, and Signoff. Your successful and on-time completion of assigned tasks will be crucial, with quality delivery approved by the project lead/manager. Key Responsibilities: - Work as an individual contributor on tasks such as RTL Design/Module and support junior engineers in various areas - Independently analyze and complete assigned tasks successfully and on-time - Ensure quality delivery approved by the project lead/manager by meeting functional specs/design guidelines without any deviation or limitation - Document tasks and work performed - Meet project timelines and support the team lead in intermediate tasks delivery - Participate in team work and support team members/lead when needed - Automate repeated tasks to save design cycle time - Participate in technical discussions and training forums - Possess strong communication skills and good analytical reasoning - Ability to learn new skills as required Qualification Required: - 3 to 8 years of experience in SRAM Memories layout design - Familiarity with various levels of memory layouts including custom memory bits, leaf cells, control blocks, Read-Write, Sense Amplifiers, decoders - Expertise in floor planning, power planning, block area estimation, and physical verification - Adequate knowledge of schematics, interface with circuit designer and CAD, and process development team - Understanding of layout fundamentals such as Electro-migration, Latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, IR-drop, parasitic analysis, matching, shielding, etc. - Excellent problem-solving skills related to area, power, performance, and physical verification of custom layout - Proficiency in Cadence tools and leadership qualities - Ability to guide and provide technical support to team members - Self-motivated, hardworking, goal-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of Skill coding and layout automation is a plus Additional Company Details: UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider that partners with clients from design to operation.
