Associate I - Semiconductor Product Validation

You will be responsible for executing test cases with accuracy to prevent incorrect product shipment by reporting business-critical bugs. In this role, you will work under supervision. Your key outcomes will include completing the assigned test grid without deviation from the given test steps, identifying product failures and reporting them in the test repository and bug tracker, discovering "out of box" product issues, learning technology and business domain systems individually and as recommended by the project/account, executing Adhoc scenarios as required, and filing P1/Showstopper issues. To measure your performance, the following metrics will be considered: the number of Adhoc scenarios executed, compliance in updating the test repository and bug database properly, number of P1/Showstopper issues filed, adherence to schedule/timelines, adherence to SLAs where applicable, number of defects post-delivery, number of non-compliance issues, reduction of reoccurrence of known defects as per SLA, SLA in turnaround of production bugs, defined productivity standards for the project, and completion of all mandatory training requirements. Your expected outputs include managing project tasks with quality, estimating time, effort, and resource dependence for your work, creating documentation for your work, and reporting the status of assigned tasks while complying with validation standards/process. Some of the skills required for this role include computer hardware and components operation skills, ability to execute Ad-hoc scenarios, working with Windows OS flavors and installation, working with BIOS drivers and various display protocols, performing and evaluating test results against product specifications, estimating effort time required for your work, performing and evaluating tests in the customer or target environment, working in a team environment, and possessing good written and verbal communication abilities. In terms of knowledge, you should have a good understanding of the SDLC & STLC processes and knowledge of different types of testing methodologies. This position requires skills in validation, manual testing, and debugging.
