Associate - Finance Reporting

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare financial reports, analyze financial results, conduct cost analysis, and manage budgets. You will study transactions to identify root causes of variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions to management. Additionally, you will design and generate complex reports tailored to user specifications. This position requires handling more complex issues and special projects compared to a junior financial analyst. Key Responsibilities: - Generate standard markets and financial reports periodically - Identify and resolve issues affecting reporting - Handle complex ad hoc reports from stakeholders promptly - Participate proactively in revenue and financial planning processes - Establish a proper review mechanism for respective teams - Develop new reports and enhance existing ones by automating report preparation - Mentor, guide, and train junior analysts and new recruits Skills and Attributes for Success: - Strong statistical and data-driven problem-solving skills - Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts - Effective communication skills - Proficiency in MS Excel - Familiarity with financial reporting goals and process flow - Ability to interpret numbers and draw conclusions - Strong interpersonal skills to mentor junior team members Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting processes - Degree in B.Com or BBM (with finance and accounts specialization) or M.Com - Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of basic accounting concepts Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or other visualization tools What We Look For: We seek individuals with commercial acumen, technical expertise, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
